Being a teacher always has its rewards, and I recently had the chance to work as a teacher and teach biology to ninth-graders. Even though my time at Norbugang Central School was brief, the knowledge and experiences I picked up there much outweigh all I learned in high school and college put together. I had a wonderful time interacting with my pupils, and I was inspired by how much they had taught me about relationships, academic practices, and how to acquire patience and compassion for children who are not related to you.

This experience showed me that students are far more likely to enjoy and pay attention to you when you enter the classroom with a cheerful and confident personality. After I started to feel more at ease in the classroom, both my pupils and I started to enjoy teaching more. Because of my increased self-assurance, my kids performed better in class, and it even allowed me to find solutions to some of my classroom management problems. I gained a lot of knowledge about classroom management during my teaching practicum. The relationship with the students is what I learned most about classroom management. There was a clear link between improved classroom management and my efforts to establish stronger relationships with my students.

I had the chance to attend every workshop that was conducted by the staff of Norbugang Central School on professional development while I was a student there. Similarly, attending student events is an incredibly effective way to interact with and form bonds with the students. A student will almost surely act politely and respond pleasantly to you if you attend their event and you commend them on their work in class. I wish I had more time available for such events on my schedule. I wished I had participated more for a variety of reasons. My time teaching was overwhelmingly positive. Norbugang Central School was my first place of work, and I could not have wished for a finer mentor teacher or kids.

Rapport with non-teaching staffs

The non-teaching staff were quite friendly and helpful. They assisted me in every way imaginable when I required assistance with electricity, staff room setup, and even showing the class locations. The cooks were really kind to offer me lunch. Having solid relationships with these folks taught me that they are the go-to people for assistance wherever and whenever it is needed.

Co-curricular activities and Community engagement

The school also carries out various co-curricular activities despite busy schedules of the teachers in order to enhance the co-curricular skills in students. Furthermore, school also teaches the ettiquite values every Monday to instill the values and culture of the country in the students. Likewise, the school never fails to parttake in any nationally or internationally recognised days to celebrate it such as Red Dot Day or Women’s Day and many others. These are some of the activities which really helped me to build a strong bond with the teaching staff of NCS.

The school also collaborates with the local community in the pursuit of community involvement in order to boost learning outside the classroom walls. Members of the community include the Gup, the Royal Bhutan Army, and student parents. They play an important role in implementing changes in schools and providing feedback. Similarly, school partake in community services like platationa and waste management to give awareness to the people of the community. https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/1tHA-gOBP7y1cmUQMkO079vjBFzjTyhnm5Rb9l-UT8brs3N63H9yT6S-oycsqA2aOLnPmLFcL8WSbewzymuYF_nv35IQjITb4j8R8zX1vM3p7E5_I5AZMsFfWtjARjlkJHPsZ49QOmUUQnC4IdGz4YLBUAfsyx7ZzCYTMndYUDKjeYZ6nWIqd6949QM
